Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Concert starts at 7:00 p.m. 90 minutes, no intermission. Vocalist and Charleston native, Leah María Suárez, shares her time between the Holy City and Mexico City. She returns to the stage for a one-night-only concert of her Salón DECOLORES series to close 2025 in the intimate studio-turned-listening room of Olivia Pool's Evolve Academy of Conscious Learning. Suárez's treasured and popular concert series of similar style at the former Modernisme Art Gallery (2006-2007) and again at Suzanne Allen Studio (2019-2020), then at The Space (2022-2023) combined contemporary art and live music, making for a decadent blend.
Joining Suárez are friends, colleagues, and multi-instrumentalists Bill Carson and Jonathan Lovett for the evening. The music programmed for this intimate show will feature a range of repertoire indicative of Suarez's own cosmopolitan fusion of traditional jazz, world folk music, blues, bossa nova, bolero, and seasonal selects.
